OCCA Scholarships

Every year OCCA awards scholarship to high potential actuarial or math university students in Ontario that demonstrate interest in pursuing a career in property and casualty (P&C) insurance.

The OCCA Scholarship Program will award up to five $1,000 scholarships to students who are currently enrolled at a university in the province of Ontario, in an Actuarial Science program for the upcoming academic year.

Annabelle Topas

Majoring in Actuarial Science and Statistics. I'm passionate about building community for all actuarial students. I’m also currently involved in organizations such as the UofT Actsci Club and ASNA. Outside of school, I love trying new food, binge watching shows and playing board games

Cecilia Wang

Majoring in Actuarial Science and Statistics. I’m actively involved in the actuarial community at the University of Waterloo. Having benefited from mentorship early in my journey, I strive to pay it forward by fostering a supportive and collaborative community. In my free time, I like to go rock climbing and have recently taken up crocheting.

Majoring in Actuarial Science, Specialized Honors. I’m drawn to actuarial science for how it brings together finance, statistics, business, law, and tech in a way that’s both analytical and practical. As president of York University’s actuarial student club for the past two years, I’ve naturally stepped into leadership by building community and encouraging others. Outside the numbers, I enjoy playing guitar, weightlifting, and spending time with the people I care about. I always bring a grounded, honest, and uplifting energy to the room.

Majoring in Actuarial Science and Mathematics. I am passionate about how actuarial science transforms uncertainty into resilience and how insurance helps vulnerable groups find stability in the face of unexpected challenges. In my free time, I enjoy playing with LEGO and hiking.
